Color My World...traveling to Paris for some great trend shopping and attending Maison & Objet last month was an inspirational adventure.
Color My World, the fusion of color, pattern and style makes a powerful statement by showcasing fresh and fun colors in combinations that are a saturated and strong.
Yellow and teal seem to be the most consistent in cross products with orange not too far behind. Chevrons, diamonds, circles and stripes are the patterns with the most play and kitchen appliances were the frontrunner in pattern and color.
Opposites Attract is the graphic fusion of pattern and non-color. Black and white make a powerful statement in color, print, style and scale.
Traditional patterns look updated with their increase in scale and texture focusing on more novelty designs.
These designs are varied in sensibility and range from conversational to decorative in style.
Global Glory is still showcasing the mix and match aspect of design and the fusion between fashion and home.
Patterns are melanges of global inspired prints and wovens that tell a colorful and dynamic story.
Updated Ikats with interesting color combinations set the tone in mixing with more Aztec inspiration.
Scale is oversized, patterns are colorful and technique is bold and graphic!
Animal Instinct was the most diversified of the trends from taxidermy, game tables, pillow patterns and fashion accessories.
The new twist on skins is the bold scale and graphic greatness of emulating geometric shapes.
Color is more realistic and is often seen in black and white complimenting the Opposites Attract trend.
Are patterns stripes OR zebra?.....spots OR Cheetah?....the choice is yours.
