Daryl Slaton Shows at SURTEX for the First Time

Posted on 4/1/2013 by Natasha Davis

April 1, 2013 - Daryl Slaton, artist and owner of Tails of Whimsy, shows at SURTEX, Booth 362 for the first time in 2013. This big step forward piggybacks on a booth at the National Stationery Show last year.

Slaton’s wild and whimsical images are already making an impact in the marketplace. RAZ Imports, Inc. licensed 16 images after finding him last year at the National Stationery Show. Shown in their showrooms nationwide and/or their holiday catalogue are two different Candy Witches, a full-blown 34” high. Also available are two unconventional Vampire Cats, as well as the Cat Witch “Caitlin Cumberbatch” shown side by side with her “Mad Catter” mate. Products will hit store shelves in time for holiday sales 2013.

For Christmas, RAZ Imports, Inc. is releasing Slaton’s Military Service Santas with symbols and insignias imbedded in the designs. As hand painted Christmas ornaments, they pay respect to our nation’s servicemen and women: Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force. For our Firefighters, a fifth ornament honors our country’s first responders. The Service Santa Collection is also available in wall plaques.

Come meet artist Daryl Slaton at the Tails of Whimsy booth # 362 at SURTEX; Javits Center, New York City; May 19-21, 2013
