White Plains, NY, May 14, 2013 – Following a hiatus, SURTEX® welcomes the return of its popular cruise on the show’s opening night, Sunday, May 19, 2013. The leading trade show for the art and design market once again welcomes designers, art buyers and licensees aboard the Destiny yacht for an evening of casual networking and spectacular sight-seeing.
According to Penny Sikalis, Vice President of GLM and SURTEX Show Manager, “After the hustle and bustle of Opening Day, attendees and artists look forward to relaxing and becoming better acquainted in an informal setting that lends itself to open conversation and fun.”
The once popular cruise amongst attendees and exhibitors has returned by popular demand, offering mingling aboard a private yacht while enjoying hors d'oeuvres, buffet dinner, drinks, music and dancing. New Yorkers and out-of-towners alike will enjoy spectacular views of the New York skyline and harbor, including the Statue of Liberty and newly-erected Freedom Tower. The chartered yacht departs from Pier 81, 41st Street and 12th Avenue, near the Javits Center. The cruise will embark at approximately 7:00pm and return at 9:30pm. The cost is $75 per person, and tickets are available for purchase at any SURTEX registration terminal at the show.
SURTEX is a three-day show at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, running May 19-21, from 9am – 6pm daily. For additional information about SURTEX or the Networking Cruise, please contact Penny Sikalis at 914-421-3297, firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.SURTEX.com.
